Join the Collaborative for a lazy Sunday afternoon! We'll meet up at Franklin Square for a picnic (bring your own food--and make sure to have enough to share!), we'll throw around some frisbees...and for the adventurous (ok, not so adventurous), play a little putt-putt golf or ride on the merry-go-round! So bring your own food--and make sure to have enough to share--bring blankets to sit on, water to drink, sports equipment, and games. (There is also food & drink on-sale in the park.)
RSVP Requested
SUNDAY, 11:15am: We checked the weather forecast--and although there is a change of rain, we are having the picnic as scheduled! Bring an umbrella just in case--and see you at the park!!!

"First Friday" is a Philly tradition not to be missed! On the first Friday of every month, art galleries around the city, but especially in the Old City area, premier new shows and stay open late, while the streets are filled with performers and local artists selling their wares. Come early to wander the streets, check out the art, and indulge in some excellent people watching!
From 7:30-9pm, after you have had your fill of art galleries and walking about, the Collaborative will gather at Buffalo Billiards to play a little pool and meet up with friends, both new and old.
Tavern 17, 220 S 17th St

Meet in front of the Valley Green Inn, Valley Green Rd
Commemorate Tish'A B'Av (the 9th of Av) with the Collaborative as we walk amongst the trees of Valley Green. Tish'A B'Av (Literally the 9th day of the Month of Av) commemorates the destruction of the First and Second Temples--but can also be seen as a commemoration of the tragedies that the Jewish people have endured, and a celebration that despite the history, Judiasm, and the Jewish people are still a thriving culture around the world today. We will spend the afternoon hiking in beautiful Valley Green, discussing what being Jewish means to each of us, and just enjoying the day!
